Do you know I had completely forgotten I had a LiveJournal still until someone posted a comment on a year and two month old post about the design? Oops. Uh....if you've still got me on your friends list I still exist. Work trip to Morocco, regular Shadowrun game, got to meet my niece Rachel, Colin/Boo/Thorn graduated, got to give Jackal's fiancee the seal of approval (she's seriously quite cool and sane, no I have no idea what she's doing with him either ;D), going to Otakon again this year with/to meet online friends from CoH, in general, life is pretty cool :)

Well I'm not. I have nothing of terrible import to say, so here, have some random thoughts that unlike the rest of your friends list, has no mention of 300.

Redoing a room is a pain in the ass. Painting was slightly irritating. Pulling up carpet was frustrating. Pulling up tack boards and carpet padding staples often resulted in cursing and injury. The severity of damage to the underlying plywood was measured against the utter disaster waiting to happen if we had to replace structural components and it was deemed okay to leave the plywood. We may regret this later. Thankfully the laying of new laminate flooring and baseboards has gone fairly smoothly.

I'm going to Otakon this year. Gencon usually won because of a free place to crash. That's been offered this year for Otakon, and frankly I'll enjoy it a lot more. If you'll be there for any reason, let me know.

I'm still having a great time in City of Heroes.

That's really about all I can say, nothing real exciting is going on here, just City of Heroes/Villains, art (eris-kai.deviantart.com), work, and other nonsense. So some random statements.

Got rid of Trish's oldsmobile that got left here years ago finally.
I'm having fun with art.
My hair's bright red, and I think its cool.
I also think Vanguard looks good, even if the minimum specs say you'll need 24 Gigs of Hard drive space. If anyone else is watching that game, poke me, I'm pondering finding people at $5 a pop to go in on the Collector and Guild Edition if it ends out being something I want to get involved with.
I think I want to try for Otakon this year.
Starting up an SR4 game, looking interesting so far.

I like being female. I know I don't often act like a girl, I don't dress like one most the time, and would take playing DOA and looking at cars over makeup and chick flicks, but all and all I wouldn't want to be a guy instead. There are times though when I would love to be able to walk to the side of the clothing department with reasonably priced clothes instead of having to pay $45 for a swimsuit and spend an hour looking for a simple, non jeweled, non stenciled, non strange fabric plain damn white tank top and having to end up paying $20 for it. I hate buying clothes.

If you have any other things chainmail you'd like (take a look at some weaves at http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/index.cgi) we can probably do it, though I'm still butting heads with captive ring weaves. Along with the above colors/types we have some bigger copper and etched aluminum rings and smaller orange anodized and red anodized aluminum ones.

New Hair

So my hair's been this flame motif for some time now, red in the back, yellow on the rest with neon orange inch tips(Special Effects Bright as F@#$ Yellow, Napalm Orange, and Nuclear Red for those who care), get complements on it all the time, but time for something different I decided, cause well, just cause. So the new scheme will be done sometime this weekend if the dye gets here, bright blue/purple and white/silver(Special Effects Wildflower and Manic Panic Virgin Snow, again for those who care), unsure as to design, right now the leading idea is white in the back, purple everywhere else but the front first inch or two back from my forehead on either side.

Uh....yeah. Not much going on here. Certain financial things are hopefully almost resolved, which is good even though it means no trips and no presents that I owe people for another couple months to a year. Points of note in the last whenever:

Three Days Grace's new album One X is just as good as I hoped from the concert

Will be meeting local City of Heroes/Villains players at Battle and Brew on the 24th. Also will start going to a monthly 'Art Day' that morning as well.

Other than that, life continues I suppose :)

Social Numbness

I need to do something. Go somewhere, take a class, find a club. I thrive on social interaction and I just don't have any right now. Ever since I moved into my first apartment out of college, I've tried to make up the hole with online stuff, and it worked for a while but its breaking down really badly these days, the people who I looked forward to seeing, my friends from college, the people I met through Bulldrek, who made me feel less isolated, have moved apart, gotten busy, we catch each other now and again through games and email and IM, but its not the days of IRC where I could always log on to find people to talk to anymore, and its starting to get to me.

I have so little time during the week and weekends are always hectic, especially if I look at the slim amounts of time Nightshadow and I get to spend together anymore, but something's got to give. I need to find something for us to do, even if its just once a week we leave work and immediatly go somewhere and don't get home til late.
